Code of Ethics

Each field serves different codes of ethics. I listed some below as to what refers to me and my profession. The codes that I feel are code of ethics to use for my job is:

1.) “We shall demonstrate in our behavior and language respect and appreciation for the unique value and human potential of each child.”

2.) “We shall demonstrate the highest standards of personal integrity, truthfulness, and honesty in all our professional activities in order to inspire the trust and confidence of the children and families and of those with whom we work.”

3.) “We shall demonstrate our respect and appreciation for all families’ beliefs, values, customs, languages, and culture relative to their nurturance and support of their children toward achieving meaningful and relevant priorities and outcomes families’ desire for themselves and their children.”

A Note of Thanks and Support

I would like to thank everyone for all of the blogs, comments, and advice that was provided during this course. You all have been a great inspiration to me and my future plans and goals. I am more determined to achieve other goals and reach out to my areas in my field. I wish everyone the best of luck for their future education and future jobs.

Words of Inspiration and Motivation

"The legacy I want to leave is a child-care system that says that no kid is going to be left alone or left unsafe."
Marian Wright Edelman

"If you as parents cut corners, your children will too. If you lie, they will too. If you spend all your money on yourselves and tithe no portion of it for charities, colleges, churches, synagogues, and civic causes, your children won't either. And if parents snicker at racial and gender jokes, another generation will pass on the poison adults still have not had the courage to snuff out."
Marian Wright Edelman

"Know that being proactive is the single best thing that an educator can do to support children who have problem behavior. Being proactive means that you are acting in advance - before a problem occurs."
Ann Turnbull

"The passion to create a safer and more just world for all kids."
Louise Derman-Sparks
